Important Information

House Opening

The lobby of RiverCenter usually opens one hour prior to an event’s starting time, though it may open earlier if a pre-performance activity is scheduled. At many events, admittance to the actual performance area is not permitted until shortly before the performance begins.

Late Seating

At the discretion of house management and in compliance with artists’ directions, latecomers and those returning to the performance will be seated as inconspicuously as possible at an appropriate interval during the program. Reserved seats are not guaranteed after the performance has begun, so latecomers may be seated in the back and near entry points out of courtesy to performers and other patrons.

Emergency Messages & Prohibited Equipment

Ushers are pleased to check cameras, recording equipment, cellular phones, and pagers, all of which are prohibited in the performance halls. Patrons expecting emergency messages should leave seat location information with potential calling parties and notify the Security Desk that they might be paged. Pagers are attended during performances, and urgent messages are delivered immediately.

Smoking

Smoking is forbidden in any part of the Hall. Smoking areas with ash urns are located outside all doors.

Lost and Found

Lost items found by patrons should be given to an usher for storing with RiverCenter Security. These items are retained by Security for sixty days then donated to Valley Rescue Mission, Inc. Owners may claim lost items by calling 706-256-3610.

Elevators

An elevator is available in the Grand Lobby for easy access to all levels of the Hall.

The Parking Lot

Parking is available in the parking garage which is located directly across the street from the RiverCenter on Broadway. The parking garage has a total of 685 spaces with 13 handicap accessible spaces. The parking garage only accepts cash and prices may vary. Additional street parking is available around the block of the RiverCenter. There are 8 handicap accessible spaces on Broadway and a total of 62 parking spaces around the RiverCenter.

The Management

The management IS NOT RESPONSIBLE for personal apparel or other property of patrons. Patrons are advised to take coats and other personal items with them whenever they leave their seats.

Doctors

Doctors who expect to be called during performances are requested to leave their seat locations with the head usher. For emergency contact during performances, call 706-256-3610.

Cell phones

Digital watches, cell phones, beepers, and other noise-making digital equipment must be turned off for the duration of the performance.

Photography

The photographing or sound recording of any Hall-sponsored performance, or the possession of any such photographic or recording equipment inside this theater, without prior permission, is PROHIBITED.

Fire Notice

Exits are indicated by a red “exit” sign. In the event of fire or other emergency, please do not run, but walk to the exit nearest to your seat.

Wheelchairs

Wheelchairs are available for any patron who needs assistance getting to or from his/her seat. Ask an usher for assistance.

Audio Aids

Subject to availability, infrared listening devices are available for hearing impaired patrons. The devices may be obtained free of charge from ushers. Personal identification is required.

Bar Service

Food is not permitted in the performance areas of the building. Beverages are only allowed in performance spaces if they are in a sanctioned RiverCenter closed-lid cup. These cups are available for purchase at each of the bars during a performance.

Refreshments

For the enjoyment of our patrons, bar service is available in the lobby prior to and during intermissions of some, but not all, events.

Backstage Areas Restricted

For safety and security and out of respect for performers’ privacy, patrons are not given access before or after performances to backstage areas.

Patrons Room

The Patrons Room on the mezzanine level is reserved for private functions before and after events. For information call 706-256-3607.

Ushers

RiverCenter ushers are members of a dedicated volunteer force. For information call 706-256-3652.
