Gracie Childers wears many hats at RiverCenter—volunteer, House Manager, and devoted audience member. Whether she’s welcoming guests to their seats or catching a show herself, Gracie is one of the many dedicated people who help make the magic happen night after night.
“The RiverCenter continues to draw me in season after season,” she says. “Every time I leave the building, I’m already looking for ways to get back—either through being in the audience or volunteering.”
What started as a love for theater grew into a passion for sharing it with others. “The RiverCenter is fantastic at providing this community with the opportunity to see iconic productions in a way that is affordable and accessible,” Gracie shares. “It inspires the next generation of artists and helps those who may have left the arts remember why they loved it.”
Whether it’s Broadway-caliber shows or local student showcases, Gracie believes that the RiverCenter has become a bridge between art and community. “You don’t often get the chance to see Broadway-quality productions in your hometown,” she says. “We should take every opportunity we can to engage with that.”
With volunteers like Gracie helping build an inclusive and inspiring arts experience, the RiverCenter is not just a venue—it’s a space where everyone has a role to play.
