This inventive production brings Shakespeare’s beloved comedy to life with a small cast performing multiple roles. Fast-paced, engaging, and full of wit, it offers a fresh take on a classic story.
Designed to be accessible and educational, the performance helps students connect with Shakespeare in a way that feels immediate and relevant. It’s a dynamic introduction to live theater and classic literature.
Actors From The London Stage is one of the oldest touring Shakespeare companies in the world. It was founded in 1975 by Professor Homer Swander and actor Sir Patrick Stewart. Five classically trained actors from companies like the Royal Shakespeare Company, the National Theatre, and Shakespeare’s Globe perform the entire play with only a few props and costume pieces. Each actor plays several roles, which keeps the focus on Shakespeare’s words and on the sharp, funny battle of wits between Beatrice and Benedick.
