Claire Huangci, piano
Beethoven | Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major, Op. 58
Mendelssohn | Symphony No. 3 in A Minor, Op. 56, “The Scottish”
Felix Mendelssohn traveled extensively throughout Europe. He wrote about these wanderings in many of his greatest compositions. Thus, the third symphony is known as the “Scottish” because it reflects Scotland, its climate, and its culture. Beethoven hardly traveled at all but he gave us over one hundred pieces that represent every aspect of the human condition which you will find in Claire Huangci’s imaginative piano abilities and the resulting poetry of her interpretation.
